SUMMER 2020 - PAINTING WORKSHOPS

HER CREATIVITY STARTED WITH PAINTING

Deborah began painting when she was 11 years old. Her first painting was a plein-air painting of her grandparents farm in Pittsford, VT. This grew into a life-long passion.


She graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design at UArts in Philadelphia and studied Painting there too. Since 1981, Deborah has taught design. Starting out, she taught at the Art Institute of Boston, Clark University and Rhode Island School of Design. She started teaching graphic design, drawing and painting as an Senior Adjunct Design Professor at Champlain College in the CCM Division in 2008 and also teaches graphic design at Saint Michael's College. She works as a full-time professional graphic designer.


Deborah is a plein-air and studio painter, her medium is watercolor, goache and oil.


During Summer 2020, she will be teaching a series of Painting Workshops at her studio in Charlotte, VT. Classes will be taught in the 1800s Barn Studio located behind her General Store near Lake Champlain. Plein-air painting workshops will be taught on location, nearby fields, at the lake, Mount Philo and other beautiful surrounding areas.
